I can understand how acupuncture can work in some cases, and how it works while it is being administered but what happens when the treatment is over, do things go back to functioning like they were before the needles? Because if the needles help and assist the function what happens when they are gone? Acupuncture is a very new process to me and I just have my doubts and questions, but I am not saying it doesn’t work because I have never had it done. Thanks for the alternative treatment to infertility, please encourage any of your readers that follow this suggestion to post the results of their treatment for all of us to enjoy.
Acupuncture can help you regulate a certain body parts function while the acupuncture is being performed but does the treatment continue after the needles are removed? I realize there are a lot of natural treatments for infertility, but I believe that acupuncture would be one of the last ones I would use because I do not like needles. For some this could be the perfect solution. Great article with some very interesting information about acupuncture that I never realized, thanks for the post.
That is interesting. I recognize the video from my local network tv nightly news cast. That is reporter Sharon Lawson and the report was introduced by news desk anchor, Jackie Nesprawl. I does not cease to amaze me how much of the ancient world’s wisdom we are now only rediscovering. And that includes acupuncture. I am glad to see the field of medicine making advancements (or rediscoveries of ancient knowledge) with what is considered today as alternative medicine, when in fact it was part of mainstream medical practices in kingdoms that came before the monopolization of pharmaceutical companies. Their lust for wealth and power are the only reasons why society has become brain washed into believing in and relying on prescription drugs.
This is a treatment that has been used in the orient for hundreds of years. They not only use it for infertility but for any kind of muscle pain, headaches, arthritis and so on. According to some it can be used to treat just about any ailment you have. I believe that some have even used it to break the habit of smoking so if you can find a good reputable place to get this kind of treatment in the states I would certainly give it a try.
I have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time now and we have had all the test to find out if my husband and I are both producing what we are supposed to so it will happen, we were told that we were both fine but nothing has happened yet. I was reading an article that was talking about your diet and foods you should eat to help with infertility and I am going to try that, but I am going to research this acupuncture treatment as well. I really want a baby so anything that could help I will try before I finally decide to have those expensive surgeries. Thanks for this information, wish me luck.
It used to be that if you were infertile, you were cursed by the gods for your wrong doing or for defying the gods or society’s etiquette. It is amazing to see how far we have come in Western medicine, enough to realize the value of certain ancient methodologies and how those ancient forms of medicine as well as modern methods, can help stimulate fertility. It is comforting to see persons like Sharon Mitchell who are dedicating themselves to helping others by searching for the answers many people are hoping to discover…She is doing the diligent work of finding the answers and bringing them to us.
Edward: Acupuncture has to be seen as an alternative medical treatment for it to make more sense. If you have a cold, you would use flu medication to kill the bacterial infection. So acupuncture would be used in the same way. It’s generally recommended to keep going to sessions until the desired results are achieved. If acupuncture sessions are stopped and the problem does not arise again then it’s safe to say that it will not arise but if it does, acupuncture sessions should be continued.
Courtney: Since acupuncture aids blood flow and helps patients achieve a better state of being both mentally and physically it’s a great help for anyone attempting to become more fertile. When the needles are removed, the relaxation will continue and the blood flow will be improved but multiple sessions are advised since there can be many causes to fight.
Mike: Yes, True. It is important though, to realize that alternative medicines, in the case of fertility and many other ailments cannot be the only cure that might be needed. In most cases alternative medicine and treatments need to be combined with western medicine to achieve the required results and most work hand in hand quite successfully.
Kimberley: Very true. There are many private practices that offer acupuncture as a therapy and treatment for much more then infertility. It’s a safe way to break habits and fight ailments of all kinds and those that fear needles must at least give it a try. They will see that there was very little to fear after all.
Emma: The very best of luck to you Emma and I hope you will conceive soon.
Nadia: Thank you so much for your comments. I do agree that we have most definitely come a long way in discovering that ancient remedies as well as western medicine can aid us in many things. Not only infertility.

It sounds like to me a mixture of Acupuncture treatments mixed with herbal treatments as well as eating right and exercise would be the world’s greatest answer to infertility. I think if you continued to live this way and receive these treatments even after you conceive you would lead a more healthy and relaxed life style. This has been some very enlightening information and I think it will go along way in helping modern doctors incorporate these treatments into today’s medicine to try before evasive surgeries.
Okay now, for a moment, I thought I had heard it all when I learned that acupuncture could help with stimulating female fertility, but make fertility? That is just nuts (no pun intended). What will we hear about next, that acupuncture or chiropractic alignment can help a man maintain an erection longer? I am glad about one thing, though. That we are expanding our consciousness by learning about ancient medicinal treatments and searching for alternative forms of medicine other than prescription drugs.
